EUROPEAN TOUR ’14 – DAY 2 “LEVERKUSEN”

Anoche arrancamos con el primer concierto en Leverkusen, un concierto en formato acústico en la sala Notenschlüssel. Tras descansar después del viaje en nuestro chateau en medio de la montaña nos levantamos con las pilas cargadas y con ganas de estrenarnos en directo por estas tierras.

Pero no sin antes disfrutar de un plato tradicional en estos viajes, el famoso pollo a la cerveza del chef Carlos.

Last night we started with the first concert in Leverkusen, a concert in acoustic format in Notenschlüssel room. Resting after the trip to our chateau in the middle of the mountain we woke up plenty full of energy to perform the first gig on these lands.
But first of all let’s eat a traditional dish on these trips, the famous beer chicken of our chef Carlos.

Después de un corto y extraño viaje al no perdernos por circular sin gps guiándonos por los astros y nuestros instintos, llegamos a destino donde nos recibieron con cerveza bien fresquita.

Seguimos con una búsqueda de cuerdas que incluyó un paseo a lo guiri por la zona; montaje, prueba de sonido y más cerveza, a la que se unió un extraño ron que afino nuestras voces de la mano de Markus y Gerhard, nuestros excelentes anfitriones.

After a short and strange trip driving without gps, guided by the stars and our instincts, we reached our destination where we were greeted with a nice cold beer.

Continue trying to find somewhere to buy guitar strings that included a walk around the area; assembly, test sound, beer and an strange rum that set our voices on tune thanks to our excellent hosts Markus and Gerhard.

Las ganas que teníamos de empezar se notaron enseguida en cuanto sonó la primera nota, con un local abarrotado, subidón de energía en el escenario e impresionante respuesta por parte de un público que nos pedía otro y otro tema hasta agotar nuestro repertorio y tener que improvisar un par de jams.

We could not wait to get started with a crowded local, energy rushing on stage and impressive response from an audience that asked us to another and another song to sell out our repertoire and have to improvise a couple of jams.

Tras un trabajo bien hecho no hay nada mejor que te inviten a unas pizzas acompañadas de un buen vinito, y como no podíamos dejarlo ahí y aun quedaba media botella de ese ron que no sabemos que llevaba, a puerta cerrada continuamos con la fiesta improvisando unos temas con el público que todavía quedaba en el local.

After a job well done there is nothing better than getting invited to a pizza accompanied by a good glass of wine. We could not leave because there was still half a bottle of that rum we do not know who had and full of lovely people, so lets continued the party improvising.
